Homegrown Fun and Farm Fresh Adventures at Summers Farm Girl Scout Weekend

 

 

 

Who: All age groups

 

Where: Summers Farm

When: October 3 (5:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

October 4 (10:00 AM - 10:30 PM) 

October 5 (10:00 AM - 7:00 PM) 

 

What: A simple visit to Summers Farm will fulfill some badge requirements. Highlighted activities include our corn maze, moonlight maze, giant jumping pillows, farm animals, pumpkin picking, hayrides, slides, pig races, farm fresh baked goods, concessions, and much more.

 

Fee: Weekend admission $10.95 per person. Weekend group rate (15 people or more) $8.95 per person with two leaders free. For groups of 75 reservation for an additional fee of $65. 

 

Show your Girl Scout spirit by wearing your sash, vest, or pins during Girl Scout Weekend (Oct 3-5) and receive a complimentary participation patch! Participation patches will be available for purchase while supplies last during the remainder of the season for $1 each.

What: Week-long fencing summer camp! Learn all the fencing basics of a 9 week intro course while also playing games, doing crafts and other camp activities. Snacks provided, bring your own lunch.

Carlyle Crafts and Games Day

When: August 24, 2014

 

What: Join Carlyle House for a day of 18th century crafts and games! Build a sailboat, piece a quilt, make a sampler, and much more. You will also have the chance to play some colonial games such as Graces, and Hoop and Stick. This event is designed for children ages 3-12, but all are welcome! Craft activities are available while supplies last.

 

Fee: Free admission for girls, parents, and tagalongs. Sailboat Craft $8, tour of the museum $5.

Manners 101/Empowering Girls Through Etiquette

 

Who: All ages

 

Where: Program available in your meeting location

 

When: Program available upon request

 

What: Manners 101 is an etiquette program that teaches proper manners and social skills for everyday situations along with common courtesies. Classes include respect for yourself and others, social media/cellphone etiquette, and table manners.

 

Fee: $25 per girl

Girl Scout Activity Day

When: October 18, 2014 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

 

What: Get Up! Get Out! Get Moving!  Join with Koa Sports League as we host Girl Scout Activity Day!  At Koa Sports, we firmly believe getting active helps girls build healthy lifetime habits, gain self-confidence and have fun!  Koa coaches will lead discussions on what it takes to keep your body healthy and the importance of living an active healthy lifestyle.  We'll also introduce the girls to the exciting team sport of field hockey.  Koa provides all the equipment - girls should wear comfortable athletic clothes, sneakers and bring plenty of water.  Girls have the chance to earn four age-appropriate badges or petals that teach them about fair play, practicing with a purpose, and good sportsmanship. Patches will be awarded at the conclusion of Activity Day! 

 

Girls earn their Honest and Fair petal for Girl Scout Daises, Fair Play Badge for Girl Scout Brownies, Practice with Purpose Badge for Girl Scout Juniors, or Good Sportsmanship badge for Girl Scout Cadettes.  

 

Fee: Free to all pre-registered Girl Scouts; $1 charge for registration site
