Armed with magnifying glasses, scouts explore 5.5 acres of historic gardens in search of flowers, plants, and wildlife. After completing the tour, Daisies and Brownies build and decorate their own birdhouse and juniors plant their own flower to take home! Scouts become art detectives as they examine unique works of art during an interactive tour of the historic mansion. After the tour, they participate in a hands-on workshop to learn how to gild using gold leaf to create a special picture frame souvenir. Scouts explore architectural styles from around the world, while touring historic homes in Georgetown. After the tour, Scouts put their creativity to work by designing their own building and landscape. Sample a traditional Victorian tea complete with delicious desserts and historic tea blends. After the tea, Scouts learn early American dances and make a special craft to take home.
