 Program Department CalendarGoing Batty & Letterboxer Badges Overnight ComboDec 1, 2012 - Dec 1, 2012 Age Groups: B (click for more information) Who: Girl Scout Brownies When: December 1-2, 2012 Where: Lincoln Caverns Uncover the exciting world of letterboxing! Join in a fun game of hide and seek using clues and directions to a hidden box. Collect stamp images as a way to record your findings! Girls will use their creativity to make their own stamp. Working as a team, girls will hide a letterbox, write clues to its location, and find other letterboxes. Combine this with the Going Batty Badge (courtesy of Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois) as we learn about the importance of bats in ecosystems where they live. Play a game, create a poster, and make a craft that will help remind scouts and others, to be good neighbors to bats everywhere. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill badge/patch requirements, indoor “slumber party” style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal.
