Junior Badge Choice Day - Choose Geocacher OR Going Batty

Choose between one of two badge programs offered on this event day.  The Geocacher badge teaches girls how to use a GPS unit and find coordinates. Girls will also learn to use geo-slang, track a Travel Bug, make trade items, and go on a scout themed geocaching hunt.  In the Going Batty badge, learn about the importance of bats in ecosystems where they live. Play a game, create a poster, and make a craft that will help remind scouts and others, to be good neighbors to bats everywhere. Each troop will build a bat house to put up in their community.  The Animal Habitats Badge program includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns.
