Sudden Service Troops attend News Conference on Title IXGirl Scout troops from DC and VA participated in Vice President Joe Biden's news conference about girls/women and sports at GW University. Sudden Service Troops from VA and DC participated in Vice President Jo Biden's news conference at GW University to promote Title IX. At the hour-long event, which about 350 people attended, Biden talked about the importance of sports in the lives of women, and how athletics build confidence and character. The U.S. Olympic Women's Hockey team, along with D.C.-area athletes, schoolgirls and Girl Scouts joined VP Biden on stage. Before the ceremony, local female athletes held a clinic and the Girl Scouts played basketball, volleyball and practiced cheers on the court of the Smith Center.
