2011 Annual Meeting

Sharing Our Girl Scout Story

On April 9, GSCNC held our 2011 Annual Meeting at the National Conference Center, 18980 Upper Belmont Place, Leesburg, Virginia. The theme of this year's meeting was "Sharing our Girl Scout Story" in anticipation of the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting in 2012.

During this year's meeting, we elected new Officers, members to the Board and the Nominating Committee, and National Delegates as well as Alternate Delegates.

Congratulations to our President, Diane Tipton, who was re-elected for her second term. Click here to read the press release regarding Diane's election.

There was a panel presentation that summarized the discussions that took place at Forums across the Council on planning for the future of our camps and celebrating our 100th Anniversary.

In addition, we heard reports from the President, Diane Tipton and for the first time, our new Chief Executive Officer, Lidia Soto-Harmon. Our meeting culminated with celebrating the contributions of many amazing adults with a recognition ceremony followed by a punch and cupcake reception - featuring Georgetown Cupcakes!
