Georgetown Cupcake Donates $20,000 to SHARE

Girl Scouts and Georgetown CupcakesThe Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital is excited to announce that Georgetown Cupcake will donate $20,000 to SHARE from the successful April sale of the Girl Scout Thin Mint Cupcake. The proceeds will support the Girl Scouts SHARE annual giving campaign, which provides over $500,000 in financial assistance to local Girl Scouts and troops.

The Girl Scout Thin Mint Cupcake was a chocolate cake with crushed thin mint baked inside, topped with a mint-ganache, crumbled thin mints and Girl Scout fondant decorations. The cupcakes were available in the month of April and thanks to you, over 6,000 cupcakes were sold.

Georgetown Cupcake regularly participates in neighborhood and community events in the Washington, DC region and supports numerous local and national charitable organizations and foundations, in particular charities that focus on women and children. Owners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis, Girl Scouts themselves, showed a commitment to developing young leaders with their generous support of SHARE.

Thank you to everyone who participated!
