Sewall-Belmont's Alice Award Luncheon

The Sewall-Belmont House & Museum paid tribute to distinguished women who have made an outstanding contribution in breaking barriers and setting new precedents for women. This year's prestigious Alice Award, named for Alice Paul, founder of the National Woman's Party, was presented to two distinguished women: Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Olympia J. Snowe recognizing their contributions to the lives of women, and serving as exemplary role models to all.

The Sewall-Belmont Museum celebrates women's progress toward equality and their continuing contributions to our society. The Alice Award luncheon enables the Museum to further its educational programs, collection preservation, tours, exhibits, research and publications. Their commitment is to preserve the legacy of the historic National Woman's Party - the campaign for equal rights - and bring women's history to life for future generations.
