January Area Meetings

For Capital Volunteers

Four times a year, at Area Meetings, Service Unit Managers, Trainers and Association Chairs gather together to receive council wide updates from various departments, discuss successes and issues, as well as provide support and ideas for the membership within their area.

These Capital Volunteers will be convening again this January to receive updates on Sleep-Away Camp Registration, Day Camp announcements, Program initiatives, and more.  Also on the agenda will be ideas to help get the word about SHARE directly to parents, registration information, outdoor activities and Daisy Recruitment.

Each area holds a regional meeting for the convenience of volunteers.

Area A (Prince Georges County, St. Mary’s, Calvert and Charles MD) will be holding a conference call on January 2nd.

Area B (DC and Montgomery County) will be holding meetings on January 3rd.

Area C (Fairfax, Arlington and Alexandria) has two dates scheduled:  January 3rd and January 8th.

Area D (Loudoun, Prince William, Fauquier and Frederick, MD) will host a conference call on January 7th.

Area E (Shenandoah Region) will host a conference call on January 3rd as well.

These meetings are vital to help SU Managers develop their agendas for Service Unit Meetings and provide feedback on issues within the Council from their areas perspective.

They are also crucial to allow Association Teams to plan and discuss goals for their specific membership.  We thank our valued volunteers who take time from their schedules to attend these important meetings.  They make Girl Scouting possible for all!
