Women's History MonthGS Celebrate Women in History March is Women's History Month, a time to celebrate the accomplishments of women who have made significant accomplishments in our world. Visit the GSCNC Facebook page to see our tribute to Girl Scout alumnae this month. Sunday March 3, 2013 marked the 100th Anniversary of the Women's Suffrage March in Washington, DC. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated reenacted the march on it's centennial anniversary and invited the Girl Scouts to participate. 8,000 women joined together outside the U.S Capitol in remembrance of the 1913 event, which at the time, was a way to jump-start the women's suffrage movement and gain the right to vote for women.
