With a planned gift

It took one visionary woman to create the Girl Scouts—it takes thousands of believers to carry it forward.

Juliette Gordon LowWhen our Founder Juliette Gordon Low gathered a few girls to begin Girl Scouts her outstanding leadership was matched only by her stewardship. By leaving the converted carriage house of her home to Girl Scouts in her will, Juliette's bequest was the beginning of planned giving to Girl Scouts.

In her memory, the Juliette Low  Legacy Society was established to thank and honor friends of Girl Scouts who choose to make Girl Scouts part of their legacy and a beneficiary of their estate plan.

Estate planning isn’t just for the rich or even older people. Everyone should do it.  It can begin with the simplicity of writing a will, but it can also involve trusts, changing beneficiaries of life insurance policies and retirement accounts, selecting guardians for minor children, providing lifetime income for yourself and others, minimizing taxes and other estate settlement costs, or passing on business interests and providing for your charitable interests.

By joining the Juliette Low Legacy Society, you are ensuring the future of Girl scouting in this region. Your gift will help countless girls realize their dreams and become tomorrow's leaders. Through your generosity, girls will grow into active and engaged members of society and develop their full potential in their chosen fields.

Help ensure Girl Scouting is available for years to come through estate planning. Please contact our Individual Giving Officer, for more information on making a Planned Gift to our Council and becoming part of the Council’s Juliette Low Legacy Society.
