Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington

Girl Scouts partnered with TIME Magazine and AT&T to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, which Dr. King delivered on August 28, 1963. One element of this partnership was a custom content piece for the August edition of TIME highlighting Girl Scouts' commitment to inclusivity since its inception.

Girl Scouts also hosted a thought leadership breakfast roundtable entitled "People Who Make the World a Better Place" on August 14, during which we identified important societal issues facing the country and discussed the importance of diversity and inclusiveness. Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital CEO Lidia Soto-Harmon and Gold Award recipient Diossa F. participated in the roundtable discussion.
