Juliette Low Legacy Society
Keeps our Council strong
It took one visionary woman to create the Girl Scouts—
It takes thousands of believers to carry it forward.
Juliette Gordon Low left her converted carriage house in her will to Girl Scouts. This bequest was the beginning of planned giving to Girl Scouts. In her memory, the Juliette Low Legacy Society was established to insure the legacy of Girl Scouts in this region for years to come.
Each year the Council hosts a tea to honor new members. Nine new members were inducted into the Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital Juliette Low Legacy Society in 2013. To become a member, include Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital in your will or make an outright gift to the endowment of at least $10,000.
