Girl Scouts enjoy day exploring

Girl Scouts from our Council attended the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Fair and Reception

Last Thursday, July 24, twenty Girl Scouts from our Council attended the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Fair and Reception, sponsored by Women’s Policy, Inc. on Capitol Hill. Girl Scouts enjoyed visiting the different exhibits from companies like Facebook, Samsung, and Cisco.

Girl Scouts from our Council attended the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Fair and ReceptionGirl Scout Gold Award recipient, Olivia S., also represented our Council and featured an experiment she designed for her Gold Award project. During the reception, a few distinguished female members of Congress spoke about the importance of STEM programs to encourage girls and women to pursue STEM education and careers.
