GIRL SCOUTING BUILDS GIRLS OF COURAGE, CONFIDENCE, AND CHARACTER, WHO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.

Waynewood ES Received Recognition Award from GSCNC

Carol Bolger was one of the former Girl Scout leaders who nominated the school. She wrote," The Waynewood Elementary School, its staff, and community have been amazing supporters of Girl Scouting for many, many years. Along with providing a physical base for countless troops, the school has actively helped with a variety of programs that Girls Scouts have sponsored - Brownie/Daisy field days, Thinking Day activities, Chalk4Peace, book donation, school supply drop off for Katrina recovery, Election Day activities, and food drives - to name just a few. The school has embraced the ideals of Girl Scouting by allowing girls to come together in a safe and supportive environment to grow, to learn, and to become leaders. Without the haven that Waynewood Elementary School has provided, many girls would not have become involved with Girl Scouts and would have missed out on the wonderful experiences of being members of a Girl Scout troop."
