Unzipping Files

Some publications, forms, and graphics are available on this site for download and are in a zipped format. We are currently using Winzip 7.0. If you need to download this, you can find it at http://www.download.com/

Steps for Downloading Zipped Files

Click on the selected document to download.

(NOTE: There may be a second step to this such as a button to push once you select the document, or it may be just a link to begin a straight download.)

Option #1

You can save it to disk

Or

Option #2

You can try to open it on the spot.

(NOTE: You should copy it to your hard disk to be safe, especially if it is a large file such as a publication or multiple files. You can do this by clicking "save" instead of "open")

To open a Zip File

Simply double-click on the file to open it.

(NOTE: In WinZip, click "Extract" to unzip the files, so you may extract them to a folder completely unzipped)

Select the destination of the file

1. Either type it in the box.

Or

2.Click through the menu.

Or

3. Using the pull- down of recent destinations.

(NOTE: Once the files are extracted into a folder on your hard disk, you can then open them up.)
