International Day of the Girl
October 11th marks the seventh International observance of International Day of the Girl. Declared by the United Nations, this day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls’ face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. This year we hope you will spotlight our Gold Award Girl Scout, girls who have dedicated over 80 hours to a cause, creating sustainable projects that make their communities and the world a better place-- these are Girls the World Needs.
