Description & Activities

2023 Camp Theme: Jurassic Ashgrove!

Description: Soar, stamp, and roar as the Age of the Dinosaurs comes alive at Ashgrove Adventure. Meet us in the Mesozoic as we get messy in the tar pits of our challenge course. Trek through steamy, Jurassic jungles for creamy, cool hand-cranked ice cream. Create some Cretaceous crafts and explore dinosaurs in pop culture. Unearth fossils with the paleontologists and investigate millions of years of our changing earth. Will your skill in archery, slingshots, and tomahawks subdue a stegosaurus? Feathers, eggs, bones, and scales: investigate nature’s living dinosaurs and prehistoric plants. Take an imaginary journey to the past and be the first to discover fire and enhance your survival skills in the outdoors. Join us for a BIG romping, stomping, chomping dinosaur excursion at Ashgrove’s Jurassic Adventure.

Volunteer at Camp!

Ashgrove Adventure is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers! Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every girl has an amazing camp experience.

Visit to fill out our Volunteer application and get your discount code. For any questions, please contact one of the camp co-directors Suzy Miller and William Perry by email at  All new volunteers must be at camp for the entire two weeks.

  • Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) – bypass the lottery and get early registration access in January.
  • Reduced registration rate – you could receive 40% off the camp registration fee!
  • Units at camp for sons and preschool-aged children of volunteers - yes, they get to come to camp too!
  • Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
  • Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
  • Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions!
