Description & Activities

2023 Camp Theme: Magical Forest

Description: Do you want to have a magical summer? Brighton Woods is transforming into a magical forest! We will share our campsites with gnomes, fairies, elves and maybe even a friendly troll or two. Listen carefully and you might hear the trees whisper to each other! Build fairy villages and see if you can attract some new residents for Flo, Civvie, Peggy, and Harriet to play with. That's right, all your favorite mascots will be back frolicking in our magical forest this summer! And of course we'll work on all your favorite Girl Scout camping skills while enjoying the magic of Brighton Woods!

Activities: Slingshots, tomahawks, archery, outdoor skills, outdoor cooking, arts & crafts, songs, games, drama, nature/STEM, and hiking

Camp activities (including field trips, extended hours, and overnights) are offered at the discretion of the camp leadership team and may be modified or canceled to follow COVID-19 restrictions. Camp activities may not be available to all units and can be canceled due to weather or other extenuating circumstances.

Overnight: Overnights are available for all ages. A teen overnight will take place on Friday, July 28th for 8th graders and up.

Camp Location: Camp Brighton Woods

Bus Transportation: Buses will be available for registration in late spring. Contact with any questions about bus transportation.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there may be an additional bus transportation fee collected after registration to provide for more buses to accommodate social distancing during transportation. More information will be provided as camp gets closer.

Buddy Requests : Buddy requests cannot be guaranteed.

Volunteer at Camp!

Brighton Woods Day Camp is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers! Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every girl has an amazing camp experience..

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) – bypass the lottery and get early registration access in January.
  • Reduced registration rate – you will receive 50% off the camp registration fee!
  • Units at camp for sons and preschool-aged children of volunteers - yes, they get to come to camp too!
  • Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
  • Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
  • Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions!
