Burke Lake Adventures encourages girls to explore, learn leadership skills, challenge themselves, make new friends, and build self-esteem while enjoying themselves at camp. (Camp activities (including field trips, extended hours, and overnights) are offered at the discretion of the camp leadership team and may be modified or canceled to follow COVID-19 restrictions. Camp activities may not be available to all units and can be canceled due to weather or other extenuating circumstances.

Camp Location: Burke Lake Park

Bus Transportation: No bus transportation is available.

Buddy Requests: Buddy requests are not available.

New for 2023: This year, we are adding a unit of Cadettes for girls who are rising sixth, seventh, and eighth grades that don't want to, or are not ready to become an AIT. For example, a girl that has never attended the camp, but would like to learn more about the AIT/Aide program. Or a girl who knows about the program but is not ready to take on the responsibility of a leadership position. We will work with them to help them achieve their future Girl Scout goals (whatever they may be) and give them the opportunity for advancement while in a lower pressure environment.

Volunteer at Camp!

Burke Lake Adventures is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers! Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every girl has an amazing camp experience.

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) – bypass the lottery and get early registration access in January
  • Reduced registration rate units at camp for preschool-aged children (boys included) of volunteers. Yes, they get to come to camp too!
  • Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
  • Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
  • Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions!

Complete the interest form or connect with the camp team at burkelakecamp@gmail.com. You’ll be happy you did!
