Volunteer at Camp!

Camp Tag-A-Long is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers! Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every girl has an amazing camp experience.

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) through early registration access in December/January
  • Reduced registration rate
  • Units at camp for sons and preschool-aged children of volunteers - yes, they get to come to camp too!
  • Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
  • Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
  • Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions!

Teen Leadership Opportunities

Aide Requirements: Must have attended a Girl Scout day/evening camp and completed 6th grade. Aides should first register for camp and then complete an online survey (emailed in March) to help the camp leadership team determine where best to place them at camp. In the case of a waitlist, preference is given to aides with Camp Tag-A-Long experience.

Teen Leadership Program Information:  Aides must attend a pre-camp aide training and the all staff meeting on Sunday, August 8th. Training dates will be posted on the Camp Tag-A-Long website prior to February 10th and emailed to registered aides by February 20th. Aides will be assigned a unit or center for the week. Aides are included in some pre-camp planning and programming, as appropriate, and lead with adult support. There is an aide party on Friday from 5-9 pm. Aides can earn Silver Trefoil hours.
