Dear Girl Scout Family,
As a valued Girl Scout member I would like to share with you an important announcement from Girl Scouts of the USA, CEO Anna Maria Chavez. Starting with the Girl Scout 2018 membership year, which officially begins October 1, 2017, the annual national membership dues will increase to $25.00 for girls and adults. All membership dues go directly to the national organization, Girl Scouts of the USA. This upcoming increase is needed to support GSUSA’s research and continued investment and development of new technology platforms, and enhancements to girls’ program experiences in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) , entrepreneurship, the outdoors and life skills. You can find more information on the GSUSA blog that was released today.
Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital is committed to ensuring that all girls, regardless of financial means, can fully participate in our Girl Scout program, and will provide financial assistance accordingly. If you have any questions, or would like to provide us with feedback please email customercare@gscnc.org.
Sincerely,
Lidia Soto-Harmon
