By learning about seasonality, the labor of planting seeds, and how gardens were depicted in the Federal period, Girl Scouts will appreciate where their food comes from and recognize the importance of gardens in the past and the present. Registration includes a tour of the house, a garden activity booklet, a Dumbarton House patch and a real planting to take home! Covers all steps in the Junior Gardener Badge (badge not included).
Register for a time slot and if your child is a Girl Scout, she will complete all the necessary steps to earn her Gardener Badge! (She will receive a Dumbarton House patch, but we do not provide the badges.)
Cost: $15 Girl Scouts/ $5 adults
