Seniors & Ambassadors Chess Patch
In this two-hour online session, Seniors and Ambassadors will master the essentials of chess with STEM the Gap Academy. They’ll learn how each piece moves and its value, how to read the chessboard, and the mechanics of check, checkmate, and opening strategies. Along the way, they’ll strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills they can apply to school and life, boosting confidence in tackling new challenges.
No prior chess experience or board is needed, as all activities are virtual. Girls will earn a Chess Patch with a king charm and a badge, mailed to their home.
