Meet lifetime Girl Scout, Mae Sue. This November Mae is celebrating her birthday with us, as she’s turning 100 years old!
Her incredible journey includes singing Christmas Carols for President Roosevelt and welcoming British Royalty to the states.
It may be hard to believe, but both of those once in lifetime experiences were a part of Mae’s Girl Scouting adventures. Even beyond her time as a Girl Scout, Mae’s dedication to the organization persists, at one point serving as a troop leader, to now being a devoted cookie buyer. She also reflects the way Girl Scouting gave her the confidence to do things that once seemed beyond her capabilities. Her newfound confidence ultimately led to her historic achievement as the first female PTA President in local community.
To learn more about Mae and her incredible story, we invite you to watch the video below. We also encourage you to celebrate Mae’s lifelong journey by making a gift to her Birthday Fundraiser, all of the proceeds Mae raised will directly support SHARE and could help the next generation of Girl Scouts get uniforms, participate in programs, or experience the magic of camp. You can also send a heartfelt card to the address below by November 20th :
