For Cookie Sellers

The Girl Scout Cookie program is a fun way for girls to earn money to support their dreams, and it's a hands-on leadership and financial literacy program unlike any other in the world. The knowledge and skills learned serves them for a lifetime. Girls gain essential skills, not from a book, but from real-life experiences building a strong foundation for success.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches Girl Scouts skills to grow into leaders in their own life, in business and in the world:

Goal Setting: Sets cookie sales goals individually and, with her team, creates a plan to reach them. She develops cooperation and team building skills all along the way.

Decision Making: Helps decide how her team spends their cookie money, furthering critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Money Management: Takes cookie orders, handles customers’ money, and gains valuable and practical life skills around financial literacy.

People Skills: Learns how to talk to, listen to and work with all kinds of people while selling cookies. These experiences help her develop healthy relationships and conflict resolution skills that she can use throughout her life.

Business Ethics: Be honest and responsible at every step of the cookie sale. Her business ethics reinforce the positive values she is developing as a Girl Scout.

How to Participate
Digital Cookie - December 10th - March 13

  • Building a Digital Cookie website helps your Girl Scout build marketing skills while setting up her own virtual platform. She will be able to send out her personal website link via email to increase sales through online orders. This platform lets customers shop from your Girl Scouts website and choose to have their cookies either shipped directly to their homes or have them delivered by a Girl Scout.

  • Getting started with Digital Cookie Platform
  • Troops will also have a Digital Cookie Troop site to use a virtual booth. Girls can share goals, stories, and learnings from the Cookie Program with customers through a link with this on-line marketing tool. We encourage Troops to share this link through all social media.
Order Card
  • This is the classic door-to-door Girl Scout Cookie selling we know and love! Encourage girls to canvas their communities with adults, knocking on doors and leaving door hangers. Always think safety first!
  • Girls can also sell door to door with cookies in hand after the initial order of cookies is delivered.
Booths - February 4th to March 13th

  • At an in-person booth, Girl Scouts get to sell directly to the public with cookies in hand at local businesses in their community. All Girl Scout levels may participate in booth sites and gain valuable experiences selling in this process.
  • We hope you’re as excited as we are about cookie booths this year! As we work on getting back to normal, please remember to wear your mask and maintain social distancing. Girl safety is a top priority while continuing to have fun!
  • Download the In-Person Booth Guide HERE.
Goal Getter Program
  • The Goal Getter program is another way for Girl Scouts to reach their goals after the initial order-taking phase of the cookie program. Girls can continue to earn rewards and fulfill customer orders to the package by going to any cookie cupboard.
Gift of Caring
  • Troop2Troops is our virtual Gift of Caring program, where girls sell cookies and at the end of the program they are shipped directly to the USO Metropolitan Washington. Troop2Troops supports our military, thanks to the USO, which shares the Girl Scout Cookies with veteran hospitals and military lounges in airports in our region. A Troop2Troops patch is available in our Girl Scout shop.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols

COVID-19 Pre-Screen Form

  • We are highly encouraging all girls and troops to accept contactless payments this cookie season. Girls and Troops can do this by using the Digital Cookie mobile app. As a reminder, girls must have a current Digital Cookie site set up in order to utilize the mobile app
  • Cookie Delivery can also be done totally contactless! This means porch drop offs for in person girl deliveries- make sure you send a text to the customer when you are safe distance away to verify they received their order.

Remember to follow All Safety Guidelines: Girls and volunteers must follow all local and GSCNC Council guidance. This includes wearing masks at all booth locations. Certain businesses may have specific safety requirements (like the number of girls, cleaning protocols) that girls and troops must follow. These instructions will be included in eBudde on your booth selection.
