A pass-through donation is a donation made directly to a Troop account by an organization or individual which allows the troop to use the funds for activities, trips, and other Girl Scout adventures!
Important: The donation must come with a note that says it is a pass-through donation and the Troop#, SU#, Association# that it will support. The Council will deposit the donation and issue a tax receipt for the donor, using the address listed on the check. The Council will provide payment to the troop via check made payable to the troop or ACH transfer to the troop account. This process usually takes 7-10 business days. A Troop may receive a donation of up to $1,000 from any funder/donor once per fiscal year. Any amount over $1,000 will go to SHARE. The same procedures apply to service units, associations, and/or groups.

Gifts of appreciated stock or securities can provide you with the opportunity to make a substantial gift to our Council, avoid capital gains taxes and use the gift as a charitable tax donation. Here are the simple steps to transferring appreciated stock and securities to the Council.

Car Donations
Do you have an old or unwanted vehicle? You can donate it to Girl Scouts in support of SHARE – our annual giving campaign. If you're interested in donating your car, boat, campers, heavy equipment, etc. you can visit this website. It can be running or not!
