We'll visit each decade and learn how these women influenced art, science, fashion, and more!

Camp activities (including field trips, extended hours, and overnights) are offered at the discretion of the camp leadership team and may be modified or canceled to follow COVID-19 restrictions. Camp activities may not be available to all units and can be canceled due to weather or other extenuating circumstances.

Camp Location: Hope Valley Farm

Bus Transportation: No bus transportation will be offered this year.

Volunteer at Camp!

Camp Valley View is planned and put on each year by a group of dedicated Girl Scout volunteers! Due to safety ratios, enough adults must volunteer each year for camp to run. Unfortunately, if not enough volunteers sign up, camp will be cancelled. We need your help to ensure that camp can happen this year and that every girl has an amazing camp experience.

Benefits of Volunteering

  • Guaranteed placement for your camper(s) through early registration access in December/January
  • Reduced registration rate – you could receive $95 to $105 off the camp registration fee!
  • Units at camp for sons and preschool-aged children of volunteers - yes, they get to come to camp too!
  • Receive volunteer hours for training and camp days
  • Network with other Girl Scout volunteers in your area
  • Learn new skills, try new things, and take part in fun camp traditions!

Complete the interest form or connect with the camp team at or 301-514-5268. You’ll be happy you did!

Teen Leadership Opportunities

AIT Requirements: Must have attended a Girl Scout day/evening camp and have completed 6th grade. AITs must have completed the Program Aide book training before attending camp.

Aide Requirements: Must have attended a Girl Scout day/evening camp, completed Program Aide training, and completed 7th grade. Prospective aides must submit an application before registering for camp. Reach out to the Teen Leadership Contact for the application.

Teen Leadership Program Information: AITs are considered campers, but will complete leadership programming and have set times to work with Brownies to earn their Program Aide pin and their Leader in Action award. Earning those two awards will permit AITs to advance to an aide role in future summers. Aides will be required to attend training meetings and a program planning weekend - these times and dates will be emailed to parents and/or girls. At camp, aides will assist units or stations, complete kapers and camp tasks, and prepare for the next day of camp. Aides will earn service hours and participate in one special event to be decided during the planning weekend. Senior aides may be invited to stay overnight Sunday through Friday, except on Tuesday.
