Camp Winona in Hughesville, Maryland, offers so many exciting ways to experience nature. The camp covers 178 beautiful acres featuring lodges, glen shelter units and open fields.
Camp Winona has archery, tomahawk, and slingshot ranges, and Trefoil Pond for canoeing and kayaking. There are many trails to explore the geological history of the camp.
The Calvert Marine Museum is a great place to learn about the Chesapeake Bay.
At Point Lookout State Park girls can enjoy swimming, fishing, canoe water trails, and history!
Calvert Cliffs State Park is a day-use park featuring a sandy beach, unique fossils, recycled tire playground, fishing, a freshwater and tidal marshland and 13 miles of hiking trails located in Calvert County. Girls can also experience 17th century life in Historic St Mary’s City.
One of our dedicated troops has created a Letterbox Trail at Camp Winona! The letterboxes are all set up: just download the PDF and have fun! This trail will satisfy Steps 3 and 4 of the Brownie Letterboxing Badge.
