This course will focus on the Girl Led principles of Girl Scouting, as they apply to outdoor cooking and camping. This is a 30-hour blended learning course made up of three parts: online modules, a planning session and an overnight skills session. There is no cost associated with the course because you will be expected to get your own gear, a portion of the groceries, and other supplies as required. Expect to spend at least $10 - $25. Online modules will take approximately 5 hours to complete. This can be done at your own pace and all volunteers are welcome to view this material even if they don't plan to become cookout/campout certified. If you want to be certified to take your troop camping, you must view all the online modules, and complete the course by attending a 2-hour virtual planning session via Zoom lead by adult educators, and a 23-hour overnight skills session.
