Join us for a virtual info session on Wednesday, December 10, at 7:00 ET PM with Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) to learn about their service, immersion, and leadership programs in Latin America this summer for youth ages 13-19. Hear how AMIGOS programs help Girl Scouts discover their passions, learn about the world, and make a difference both overseas and in their own communities.
Travel to Costa Rica, Paraguay, Panama, or the Dominican Republic in 2026! Programs vary in length, program theme, and level of independence. Students ages 13-14 can join a 12-day group program in Costa Rica. Students ages 15-19 can choose a two- to six-week project, live with a host family alongside project staff, or choose a more independent experience. Whatever you're looking for, there's an AMIGOS project for you! Volunteers earn 12-25 service hours per week and are eligible to receive college credit for any program three weeks or longer!
Girls can apply for Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital program grants and work with AMIGOS on fundraising campaigns to support the cost of participation. Read more about AMIGOS at www.amigosinternational.org.
