Boolean Girl has partnered with Saturday School in Montgomery County to offer MCPS students two hours of FREE classes in coding and robotics on Saturday mornings at Springbrook High School in Silver Spring, Maryland and Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, MD. Using a micro:bit and MakeCode programming, we combine innovative, hands-on coding and engineering lessons with creativity.

At Springbrook HS, children in grades 3-5 will learn to code and build games in Scratch. All skill levels are welcome!

At Paint Branch HS, children in grades 5-8 will combine coding with robotics. Using a microprocessor, they will create projects that can move, light up, and more!

Children who received micro:bit kits in school as well as newcomers are welcome! If you have a micro:bit, please bring it with you; we will also have kits available for everyone in the class to use.

Thanks to the generous support of the Montgomery County Community Foundation, tuition for the Clubhouse is free to students. All students may join the program, but if you are able, please take the option to donate to Boolean Girl, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so we can continue offering programming that is accessible to all children.

Transportation and breakfast are available from the George B. Thomas Sr. Learning Academy. Please check their website for more transportation information.
