Discover the underground environment with this Patch combo at Lincoln Caverns. The Geology Rocks Patch educates participants about various fields in geosciences, where each person begins their own rock collection by learning to identify rocks through their properties. Soil and groundwater conservation, as well as earth history and fossils are topics covered in this program. In the Explore More program, participants will learn about cave exploration, cave explorers, and caving basics. Caving expeditions often involve scientific research, which participants will experience by engaging in a series of experiments in the cave. This event includes a presentation on cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The visit features tours of two crystal caverns. Workshops to fulfill patch requirements, indoor "slumber party" style lodging, evening snack, and lunch-time meals are included.
