Sea Turtle Day
Daisies, Brownies & Juniors of Girl Scouts of the Nation’s Capital, join us for a program about the ocean’s iconic reptiles: sea turtles!
Sea turtles are some of the most threatened species in the ocean. The National Aquarium invites you to our Animal Care and Rescue Center to celebrate the conservation of these amazing marine reptiles.
During our classroom event, Girl Scouts will learn about the anatomy, diet, migration and life cycle of sea turtles. Girl Scouts will also gain a better understanding of the threats sea turtles face and what conservation organizations, like the National Aquarium, are doing to help.
All participants will receive a National Aquarium patch.
Because of limited parking and lobby seating, we strongly encourage a ratio of one chaperone for every five Girl Scouts or, when possible, dropping children off for the program.
Ages: 5 -11 (Daisy, Brownie and Junior level Girl Scouts)
Location: National Aquarium Animal Care and Rescue Center - 901 East Fayette Street, Baltimore MD, 21202
