Now, maybe more than ever, media plays an important role in our lives. It’s a way to communicate and stay in touch, even at a distance. It can also influence us in ways obvious and not-so-obvious. Using the collection of the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, we’ll explore media, its effect on us, and how we can use media to make our own voices heard. This program is designed for Cadette Girl Scouts who are completing the "It's Your Story--Tell It" Media journey. Evening activities complete the Monitor award and begin the Influence and Cultivate awards. Activity patch is available for purchase in museum store at the end of the event. This overnight runs concurrently with a Junior Girl Scout overnight. The different troop levels complete separate activities in separate buildings but share a common sleeping space and breakfast. Multi-level troops should register girls separately under the appropriate-level overnight and register the appropriate number of adults per troop level.
