  • Juniors

Juniors will learn how to use the Design Thinking Process to solve problems through hands-on activities and discussion. First, they will design an emergency shelter in response to an earthquake. Second, they will build a protoype and test it on a shake table.

After participating in this two-hour workshop, Juniors will have completed all requirements for the Think Like an Engineer Badge 2&3: Emergency Shelter and Earthquake Resistant Building (badge NOT included). Exhibition wristbands included for Girl Scouts, but adults must purchase their own wristbands (members are always free!).

This is NOT a drop-off program and all Girl Scouts must be accompanied by an adult.

Fee: $15 per Girl Scout
