Come join the Camp Potomac Woods summer camp staff for an evening of camp-wide fun!
The Pirate Captain has raided the Camp Potomac Woods treasure stash and hidden it around camp! Team up with other Girl Scouts and explore Potomac Woods on the search for treasure. Complete challenges that will test your camping, quick-thinking, and physical skills. It's all hands on deck as we recover the lost treasure and take on the Pirate Captain! We must work together and act quickly to reclaim everything before time runs out!
Wanting a taste of the fun of Sleep Away Camp? This event is a great opportunity to explore Potomac Woods and have fun alongside the team!

River Keepers

June is National Rivers Month, a time to celebrate and reflect on the importance of rivers to both humans and wildlife. Experience the beauty of the Cacapon River by boat while learning about the current threats it and other rivers in the region face. Participate in a camp service project meant to help preserve and promote the health of the river so it can be enjoyed by Girl Scouts now and into the future.
Cost: Full day: $60 per participant | Half Day: $30 per participant

Girl Scouts Who Game
Girl Scout Level: Daisy, Brownie, Junior
When: Sat. June 6 | 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Where: University of Maryland, 202 Farm Dr., College Park, MD 20740
Girl Scouts will learn from and engage with the University of Maryland's E-Sport Team (the E-Terps). Girl Scouts will rotate stations with the team members and try out all the different aspects of gaming, such as graphic design, videography, communication, teamwork, etc. Girl Scouts will get to see the behind-the-scenes of what being on a D-1 Gaming Team can look like through hands-on learning! Girl Scouts will earn a badge and a fun patch!

Step Workshop with Step Afrika!

Get ready to move, clap, and stomp with energy and precision! Join us for an exciting Step Workshop featuring Step Afrika!, the world's first professional company dedicated to the tradition of stepping.
During this interactive session, Step Afrika! performers will teach participants the fundamentals of step, a percussive dance form that uses the body as an instrument, while exploring its rich cultural roots in African American Fraternities and Sororities. You'll learn choreography, rhythm, teamwork, and even have a Q&A with the performers, while connecting movement to history and expression.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced stepper, this workshop is designed to inspire confidence, creativity, and community through rhythm and unity.
Come ready to move, make noise, and feel the power of the step!
Troop/Adult Leaders - If you are bringing your Troop, we are asking you to stay onsite during the event! if your Girl Scout is coming without a leader or troop, we are asking at least 1 adult stay for the event.

Butterfly Garden Adventure

Our mission is simple: grow more pollinators and inspire even our littlest learners to become kind, curious caretakers of nature.
Join us for a special Girl Scout Butterfly Adventure Tour, thoughtfully designed for Pre-K and Kindergarten (Daisy-level) youth. This special, engaging two-hour experience invites your Girl Scouts to explore, imagine, and connect with butterflies in a safe and magical outdoor setting. Glass House Butterfly Farm and Gardens is honored to support your Girl Scouts as they grow into thoughtful, nature-loving leaders.

Breaking Boards, Breaking Barriers, Building Confidence
Girl Scout Level: Daisy

Where: Tiger-Rock Martial Arts, 12814-I Shank Farm Way, Hagerstown, MD 21744
An interactive, movement-based leadership experience designed to help youth build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and practice showing up as strong, grounded leaders.
Through three rotating activity stations, participants will explore what it means to own their space, set clear boundaries under pressure, and transfer confidence into real-world leadership moments. Girl Scouts will practice confident posture and presence, use their voice with clarity and strength, stay focused during distractions, and work through team-based leadership challenges that encourage communication, problem-solving, and inclusion.
The experience concludes with a powerful Breaking Boards, Breaking Barriers finale, where each child identifies something that can hold her back - such as fear, self-doubt, or peer pressure - and symbolically breaks through it in a memorable confidence-building activity.
