In the event that the program does not resume before October 2025, we will offer a specialized GSCNC patch to everyone who submits their hours log by October 10, 2025 via the JotForm.
AmeriCorps has announced that effective immediately, the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) program is on a temporary pause. At this time, we do not have a date for when the program will resume. As soon as operations resume, we will notify you through our various communication channels.

Recognizes individuals who are committed to a high level of volunteer and service. These individuals work tirelessly to help solve some of the toughest challenges facing their communities, and our nation.
As an official certifying organization, Girl Scouts Nations Capital members are eligible to receive this special award in recognition of their annual volunteer service. Girl Scouts and adults that meet the requirements for the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Lifetime Achievement award level. will receive the PVSA award package which will include a custom letter from the President, a certificate and a pin.
Volunteer service hours must be completed between October 1st, 2024 – September 30th, 2025. All service hours must be reported to the Girl Scouts Nations Capital office by October 10, 2025, to be counted. See below for information on how to report your service hours.
